The Faculty of Commerce and Management, through the Faculty Quality Assurance Cell (FQAC), successfully conducted a workshop titled “Discussion on Learning Resources, Learner Support and Progression – Criterion 02 (For SER Writing)” on 22nd April 2026 at the Board Room of the Faculty.

The session was facilitated by Prof. T. Bhavan, Professor in Economics, Department of Economics, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The workshop focused on strengthening the preparation of the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) with particular emphasis on Criterion 02, which covers learning resources, student support mechanisms, and progression pathways.

The discussion provided valuable insights into aligning academic practices with quality assurance standards, enhancing documentation processes, and improving programme management. Participants actively engaged in the session, sharing experiences and clarifying key aspects related to SER writing.

This workshop marks an important step towards fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement within the Faculty and ensuring compliance with national quality assurance requirements.
