Annual Research Session 2023 (ARSFCM 2023)

The Annual Research Session 2023 (ARSFCM 2023) of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka was successfully completed on 3rd October 2023 under the theme of “Nurturing the Leaders for Resilient Economy”. Prof. V. Kanagasingam, the Vice Chancellor, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, was the chief guest of the conference. The conference keynote speaker, Prof. Ravinder Rena, Professor of Economics, Department of World Economy, Faculty of Economics, Saint Petersburg State University, St Petersburg, Russia delivered the keynote address on the title of “How to make government accountable, empower the poor, and limit elite capture in Sri Lanka". Mrs. S. Maheswaranathan, Chairman of the ARSFCM 2023 welcomed all the participants to the conference. In total, 18 research papers were presented in the conference. Following the students’ research paper presentations, the Industrial Dialogue which is one of the complementary parts of ARSFCM 2023 took place, where actors from the industrial sector shared and discussed their success stories, views, and practices in business for community development. The proceedings of the ARSFCM 2023 launched by Prof. V. Kanagasingam, Vice Chancellor, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. Dr.E.A.C. Priyankara, Secretary to ARSFCM 2023 delivered the vote of thanks. The Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka wishes all the presenters a bright future.
