5th Annual Inter-School Quiz Competition

The 5th Annual Inter-School Quiz Competition, organised by the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, was successfully held on 9th June 2026 at the Nalliah Auditorium, Eastern University, Sri Lanka.

The Vice-Chancellor of Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Prof. P. Peratheepan, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Prof. N. Rajeshwaran, delivered the inaugural address to the forum. The Quiz Competition was coordinated by Prof. Jeyapraba Suresh, with the dedicated support of the academic and non-academic staff of the Faculty of Commerce and Management. This year's competition brought together 30 schools from the Batticaloa District, highlighting the continued success and expanding reach of this annual academic initiative.

This annual community outreach activity of the Faculty is designed to promote academic excellence, foster a healthy spirit of competition, and encourage collaborative learning among G.C.E. Advanced Level Commerce stream students across the Batticaloa District. The Quiz competition provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, analytical skills, and teamwork in a stimulating academic environment. The competition received highly positive feedback from both teachers and students, who commended the initiative for its educational value and encouraged its continuation in the years to come. The Faculty of Commerce and Management remains committed to organising such academic outreach programmes that strengthen university–school partnerships, inspire academic achievement, and contribute to the intellectual development of future generations.
