Vani Vizha 2024 – A Celebration of Art and Devotion
The students of the Faculty of Commerce and Management proudly organized Vani Vizha 2024, a traditional Tamil religious celebration held on October 11, 2024, at the Faculty Auditorium. The event was dedicated to Saraswathi Devi, the revered goddess of knowledge, wisdom, music, and arts, to offer gratitude and seek blessings for academic and creative pursuits.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Sri Lanka Prof. V. Kanagasingam, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. T. Prabaharan, as esteemed guests. The event commenced with a solemn pooja led by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. N. Rajeshswaran, conducted in a spiritually uplifting manner.
Academic and non-academic staff members also joined the celebration, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. The program featured a variety of student-led performances, including cultural dances, melodious songs, and motivational speeches, showcasing the artistic talents and enthusiasm of the students.
