MoU Signing Ceremony between EUSL and RTA Sri Lanka and Opening of Audit Training Unit

Eastern University, Sri Lanka marked a significant milestone with the successful conduct of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between Eastern University, Sri Lanka and Ratnayake T A & Co (RTA) Sri Lanka, together with the opening of the Audit Training Unit on 30th April 2026.

The ceremony commenced with the welcome address delivered by Mrs. Nirasha Jayawardhana, Coordinator of the Audit Training Unit. This was followed by an address by Prof. N. Rajeshwaran, who highlighted the significance of the initiative.

The MoU was officially signed by Prof. P. Peratheepan, Vice Chancellor of EUSL, and Mr. Saman Srilal, Managing Partner of RTA Sri Lanka. The signing was witnessed by Prof. N. Rajeshwaran, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management and Ms. R. D. C. K. Pallegama, Audit Associate II of RTA Sri Lanka.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Treshalin Sellar, National Link Coordinator. Following the ceremony, the Students’ Audit Training Unit established at the Faculty of Commerce and Management building was officially declared open. During the visit, delegates from RTA Sri Lanka interacted with students and discussed potential training opportunities to enhance their professional exposure and practical learning experiences.
