Prof. N. Rajeswaran officially assumed duties as the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management on October 6, 2023. The commencement ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. V. Kanagasingam, Director of SVIAS, Prof. Kennedy Bharathy, Heads of Departments, the Senior Assistant Registrar, faculty members, and non-academic staff. The event marked a significant moment for the faculty, as Prof. Rajeswaran takes on the leadership role to drive academic excellence and institutional growth.

The Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, proudly organised the Inter-School Quiz Competition 2023 at the eSmart Learning Centre, FCM, EUSL. The event happened with the active participation of a total of 24 schools from across the Batticaloa District. 

The primary objective of this event was to motivate advanced-level students in the commerce stream to become competent in a wide range of knowledge areas, including Business, Accounting and Finance, Economics, and General Knowledge. The quiz competition featured three exhilarating rounds.

The Annual Research Session 2023 (ARSFCM 2023) of the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka was successfully completed on 3rd October 2023 under the theme of “Nurturing the Leaders for Resilient Economy”.
